Trail Facts & Bend MTB Scene:
Difficulty: Blue (Intermediate) - Known for its incredible flow, massive berms, and perfectly sculpted tabletop jumps (all of which are rollable).
Location: Part of the Phil's Trail Complex, just minutes west of downtown Bend, Oregon.
The Vibe: Bend is a true mountain bike mecca with hundreds of miles of singletrack maintained by the Central Oregon Trail Alliance (COTA). You can spend weeks here exploring everything from mellow XC loops to high-speed gravity descents.
Getting to the Trailhead:
Lower Whoops is a downhill-only trail. The easiest way to access the top is by taking the dedicated 310 Road (Whoops Climb) up to the Upper Whoops access area. Many riders park at the main Phil's Trailhead and take a combination of uphill trails (like Ben's Trail) to begin their climb.
