Bikes, Beers & Bend: A Perfect Pour at Monkless

Pedal hard, drink well — that’s the rhythm of how we exist on the road. After a sun-soaked ride through Bend’s legendary Phil’s Trail, we headed straight to Monkless Belgian Ales Brasserie to experience one of the best brewery views in the Pacific Northwest.

Their beer flight? Less of a tasting and more of a full-on tour — bold, Belgian-style ales that dared us to slow down and savor. We loved every pour, every nuance, every surprise.

We paired the brews with a warm, salty pretzel (absolutely necessary) and a crisp, vibrant spinach salad that grounded the whole experience. It’s a menu that’s as thoughtful as the beer list — small bites, big flavor.

The best part though? The deck. With the Deschutes River below and Bend’s skyline glowing in golden light, we just existed in the moment — no rush, no plan, just presence. This is what it means to experience the world with intention.

Monkless isn’t just a place to drink beer. It’s a place to connect, to reflect, and to exist fully in the joy of a day well lived.
