Sips & Stories at Multnomah Whiskey Library

There’s nothing quite like gathering with friends around a well-worn table, surrounded by shelves lined with rare spirits and the cozy glow of library lights. Our visit to the Multnomah Whiskey Library in Portland was one for the books — filled with laughter, warmth, and some truly incredible pours.

This place isn’t just a bar — it’s an experience. The space is curated for sipping slowly and existing fully, where every bottle tells a story, and each sip feels like a passport stamp.

Here’s a taste of what we tried:

🥃 Bushmills Single Malt 16-Year
Aged in bourbon, sherry, and port casks, this Irish whiskey is smooth and layered — dark chocolate, red berries, and a warm, nutty finish. Elegant and timeless.

🥃 West Cork Glengarriff Series Single Malt
Finished in charred sherry casks, this one hits with a smoky richness and just enough sweetness to keep you sipping. A modern Irish twist with bold character.

🥃 I.W. Harper Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Easy-drinking and classic. Notes of vanilla, caramel, and a hint of oak make this a perfect intro pour to the night.

🥃 Weller Special Reserve
A wheated bourbon legend. Soft and round, with notes of honey and spice. A fan favorite for a reason.

🥃 Old Forester 100 Proof
Full-bodied with a kick. Think toasted oak, baking spice, and a long warm finish. A bold bourbon for bold moments.

🥃 Koval Single Barrel
A unique whiskey from Chicago made with millet. Light, floral, and a little nutty — super different and fun to try.

Each pour added a new layer to the night, and the Multnomah Whiskey Library brought it all together with ambiance, knowledge, and a sense of adventure.

EXPERIENCE + EXIST
Where we go, what we taste, and who we share it with — that’s what it’s all about.
